The HCS Year 6 Reading Letter is regarding our culture of reading for academic progress and the promotion of reading for pleasure at Hebburn Comprehensive School. It also informs you that we will be doing a short 20 minutes online reading assessment during the Year 6 transition days. This will help us to map in any additional support and intervention required from September, allowing us to give all children the best start with their reading. This is nothing to worry about and your child will be supported throughout the session.
